THC & CBD Levels
Description: There is a College of Family Physicians of Canada guide related to the use of medical cannabis, which recommends the THC levels to be at or below 9 percent and CBD levels to be from 9 to 12 percent.
It’s time for science and academic institutions across the world to recognize the importance of cannabis and enable it to become credible and useful to targeted populations. Just as it took time for opium, morphine, fentanyl, etc. to become widely used, it will also be a while for cannabis to gain recognition.
Although cannabis can potentially be a replacement for opioid-based medication, you can’t just start to take cannabis one day and stop opioids the next day. More research is needed on how to integrate cannabis from a pathway perspective so it's safe to wean patients off of their opioids with the utilization of cannabis.
